Daddy!

As I lay in bed this morning (Oct 14, 2018) at 3 am, I was thinking about our daughters. As their father, I miss being involved in their day to day lives. In 2016, Kristen went home to heaven to be with her Jesus. Last year, Grace entered a new season of life with her husband, and they are growing together as one flesh. I celebrate their new beginnings but I also long to hear their voices call out “Dad, Daddy, Daddio…”

While I lay there thanking God for His grace and all the times I heard my girls call out to me, He reminded me that He longs to hear us call out to Him, “Daddy.” He longs to be involved in our lives. Not just the highs and the lows, but also all the moments in between. How precious we must be to Him. He gave His only Son to make the way for us to spend eternity with Him.

He wants to share every moment with you. He wants to share your sorrows. He wants to celebrate your joys. He wants to hold you as you cry. He wants to listen to your voice as you tell Him about your day. He wants to be an intimate part of your story. As I long to be involved in the lives of my daughters, He longs to be intimately involved in the lives of His children.

Don’t keep Him waiting…

Luk 10:21: “In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.”

Mat 19:14: Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

Rom 8:16: “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.”
