God’s refreshing presence…

The comfort and confidence I have as a child of God is that He always shows up. I may be too busy or too distracted to notice but my weakness does not change the faithfulness of God.

As I wrestled with God trying to prevent what His foreknowledge had revealed, the comfort of His grace and mercy always prevailed. The consistency of His provision in and through our lives laid the foundation of my trust to release Kristen to His eternal care. The truth remained steadfast that He had always cared for my baby girl more than I ever could in the weakness of my flesh. For He had known her and loved her before the foundation of the world.

Our Father is at the same time mysterious and yet intimately familiar through His Holy Spirit. The Spirit, whom He left with us to remind of us of our eternity with Him. His Son and His Spirit have been given as an eternal investment in each of our lives. Can you imagine any greater love than the love of the Father that moved Him to such sacrifice? He paid so high a cost to rescue us from our sin. Why would we believe that He is not intimately involved with us, day by day, moment by moment, to insure that we, His most costly investment, are preserved through every trial and every storm of life?

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”” (ESV John 16:33)

“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.” (ESV 1 John 5:4)
