The Cost of Grace

Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed his last. … When the Roman officer who stood facing him saw how he had died, he exclaimed, “This man truly was the Son of God!” (NLT Mark 15:37,39)

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ. … Now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (ESV Eph 2:4-5,13)

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. (ESV Romans 5:10)
