The greatest leader in the history of mankind, came to be a servant to all. He gave His life as a ransom to redeem those who are lost. He never took center stage. He always directed everyone to the Father.
If you aspire to be a great leader then you likely have already failed. Your eyes are focused on the wrong goal. Godly leaders are birthed out of a desire to serve others, to meet needs, solve problems, and change lives… All for the glory of God!
Jesus was the perfect example of a selfless servant. His sacrifice has given all of us the opportunity to have life and have it abundantly.
I am saddened to see so many ministries that bear the name of their earthly “leader”. We all bear the name of Christ. This life is not our own. All the glory belongs to the Father!
The accolades of men fade into the dust but the intimacy of the Father is eternal. Which will you choose?
Whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:43-45)
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:10-11)
