Butterfly Story
As time passes, God reminds us daily that both He and Kristen are still with us. We’re extremely blessed and thankful for that. Here’s a quick, cute story from Julie Huffman, Kristen Huffman’s mom…
“I usually don’t pay much attention to butterflies unless they are in my nervous stomach. This day was different as I prepared to receive friends and family at the funeral home for Kristen’s visitation. Our hairdresser had offered to highlight my hair that day rather than wait for my scheduled appointment later in June. She wanted to do something out of her love for Kristen so this was how she felt she could help. When I returned home, Kristen’s sister from Spartanburg was sitting on the back porch. As I got out of the car to go inside I stopped to speak to her and an orange butterfly kept circling my head so closely I couldn’t focus my eyes on it. It looped around my head again and again then flew up and around Kristen’s bedroom window. It immediately flew back to go another lap around my head. Jana Rose laughed, “It’s Kristen! I think she likes your hair!” Maybe God was using part of nature to let us feel His love surround us in our time of loss… I could imagine Kristen was saying, ‘I love you mom and your hair looks nice too!'”
God shows himself to us every day. We just have to watch and listen. How are you seeing God move?
