Hearing God
When you hear that voice speaking,
The quiet whisper in your ear,
Does it speak hope to you
Or does it speak fear
Does it bring to you peace
Or does it bring guilt
Does it inspire you to grow
Or cause you to wilt
Don’t let God’s truth
Be distorted by lies
Don’t view yourself
Thru the enemy’s eyes
Be careful to listen
Know the way you should go
In God’s voice, you’ll find comfort
That’s how you will know
Today, will you hear Him
He brings life out of death
Giving hope for tomorrow
New strength for each test
Be still and listen
His voice you’ll discern
He paid the cost for us
It’s not what we earned
